Today, Nancy Pelosi’s office announced that long-time chief of staff John Lawrence will retire after a successful 38 year career on Capitol Hill. His replacement will be Arab American Nadeam Elshami. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Elshami currently serves as the communications director and senior adviser to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and previously worked for Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) in the earlier years of his Capitol Hill career.
The son of longtime Arab American activist and AAI member Zainab Elberry, Elshami’s journey to the most senior position in Nancy Pelosi’s Washington office isn’t exactly what one might expect. Growing up in heavily conservative Nashville, Tennessee, he once identified as Republican before devoting his career to high-ranking Democrats in both the Senate and House.
Years later, in 2007, Elshami arrived at Nancy Pelosi’s office, serving as then-communication director Brendan Daly’s deputy. When Daly left Pelosi’s office, Elshami moved to the position he currently occupies: communications director and senior adviser. Elshami will be replaced in that capacity by Drew Hammil when he moves to chief of staff.
With his new appointment, the Washington Post will need to update Elshami’s profile page, but take a look at it for some more details on Elshami’s career up to this point.

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has appointed her long-time communications director to be her chief of staff. Muslim Nadaem Elshami officially took over the post last week.
Elshami formerly worked for ultra-leftist Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and socialist Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL). Schakowsky is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, a gaggle of socialists who work feverishly to convert America into a dismal European welfare state.
Elshami’s Egyptian mother, Zainab Elberry is a Muslim activist based in Tennessee. She lobbied for construction of a mega-mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Local residents fought hard against construction of this mosque, fearing it would become a training center for wannabe terrorists.
Elberry also supported the ouster of Hosni Mubarak from Egypt and helped organize the Islamic Center of Nashville – a hotbed of Islamic radicalism.
One can only imagine what sort of advice Nadaem Elshami is going to be giving to Pelosi. Whatever it is, it certainly won’t benefit America’s free enterprise system, national security, or religious liberty.

I am scared of what people like you have allowed to happen, in fact wanted to happen, here in our beloved America. Anyone who does not, or cannot, see the harm in the fast rise of Islamic influence here in the States, and the extreme damage that they have caused everywhere else they are, like France, England, Italy etc, where they have not diversified culturally like you Libtards think they will, but have rather expected, and in most areas gained, no diversity other than the sick, perverted cult of Islam. Huge swathes of those and others countries have gone back to the middle ages, police do not enter, and the law of the land has given place to Sharia Law. Their barbaric practices on women and gays is allowed to flourish. The very fact that this communist has now taken a member of the Muslim Brotherhood on in a high position is, to anyone with half a brain cell operating, dangerous and another terrible choice.
